12 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals – two new German records and impressive performances from young talent

The German Sport Shooting Championships in Munich-Hochbrück are one of the highlights of the German shooting calendar – and the shooters who rely on RWS ammunition have impressively demonstrated what is possible with precision, experience and thorough preparation.

28 medals – this impressive tally was achieved at the German Sport Shooting Championships in Munich-Hochbrück by shooters who rely on RWS ammunition.

With 12 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals, the results showcase the full spectrum of performance, from elite sport to junior achievements.

Two new German records stand out in particular: Benedikt Ascher set a new record in the Junior II three-position event, whilst Hanna Bühlmeyer achieved the same in the women’s air rifle qualification. Michelle Skeries’ debut with RWS was also spectacular: following her switch to RWS, she immediately became German champion in the sport pistol event.

The club’s youth development work is also bearing fruit: Eight of the 28 medals were won in junior competitions – almost a third of the total haul!

RWS on site in Munich with its test shooting range

RWS is also present at the German Championships away from the competitions.

With the RWS test shooting range, the premium ammunition brand is represented directly at the Olympic shooting range in Garching-Hochbrück. There, as every year, athletes can test their ammunition individually and determine the right load for their weapon.

RWS Shooty Cup

RWS is an official partner of the DSB and is not only present at the German Championships with its test shooting range, but also supports the RWS Shooty Cup for Young German Shooters.

In doing so, RWS brings together two key areas of sport shooting: elite sport and the promotion of young talent. From ambitious amateur shooters to top international athletes, shooters benefit from ammunition designed for precision and consistent performance.

RWS R10 and R50: Precision for the highest standards

In Munich, successful athletes rely above all on the tried-and-tested RWS R10 for the 10-metre disciplines and RWS R50 in the small-bore sector.

RWS stands for top-quality products that are specifically tailored to the demands of modern sport shooting. Whether air rifle, air pistol, sport pistol, small-bore or rapid-fire pistol – RWS offers precisely tailored ammunition for numerous competition disciplines.

RWS competition ammunition is used internationally by successful shooters, including the product ranges R10, R50, P25 and many more.

A championship for the entire shooting community

The scale of the German Championships underlines the significance of the event: This year, 6,101 participants are competing in a total of 9,742 heats.

Across some 35 disciplines, the field of competitors ranges from young athletes to experienced senior shooters.

This makes the German Championships one of the largest sporting events within the German Shooting Federation.

RWS’s successes thus form part of a top-class sporting environment. And the championships are not over yet: Further competitions and finals are scheduled to take place in Munich until 30 August.
