Olympian, European Championship medallist, national record holder and one of Portugal’s most successful pistol shooters
We are proud to welcome Joana Castelão to the RWS family.
Joana, who competes in both the 10-metre air pistol and the 25-metre sport pistol, embodies precision, concentration and determination.
Since joining the Portuguese national team in 2003, Joana has represented her country at the highest international level, including at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Alongside her sporting career, she successfully balances her work as a pharmacist with her family life.
Her numerous achievements include:
- Bronze at the European Championships in the mixed team event (Osijek 2021)
- Bronze at the ISSF Grand Prix in the sport pistol event (Granada 2022)
- More than 50 Portuguese championship titles
- Portuguese national records in the air pistol and sport pistol
