
Biathlon World Cup Final in Oslo
France triumphs with a double victory in the Nations Cup
The French biathlon team celebrated a furious end to the season at the World Cup final in Oslo-Holmenkollen from 21 to 23 March 2025. With impressive individual performances - led by the outstanding Lou Jeanmonnot - France collected valuable points and secured victory in both the women's and men's overall national rankings.
The French team thus impressively demonstrated their strength on the international stage - and crowned an already golden season with further successes.

Brilliant performances at the end of the season:
Lou Jeanmonnot was the outstanding athlete of the final weekend. With three medals in three races, she proved her exceptional class:
- Silver in the sprint (7.5 km)
- Gold in the pursuit (10 km)
- Bronze in the mass start (12.5 km)
The French also delivered strong results in the men's event:
- Quentin Fillon Maillet won bronze in the pursuit (12.5 km)
- Éric Perrot secured silver in the mass start (15 km)
This underlined the team's consistency and world-class form - not only in the individual races, but also in terms of the overall season standings.
Season balance 2024/25: A French masterpiece
The 2024/25 biathlon season was a complete success from a French perspective. With a total of 66 medals in the World Cup and at the World Championships - including 29 gold medals - the French team emerged as the dominant player of the season. An absolutely brilliant performance, which is not only thanks to the athletes, but also to the entire team and the strong partnership with RWS - their official ammunition brand.

Thanks to their consistent performances, several French athletes achieved top rankings in the overall World Cup:
Ladies (total score):
- #2 Lou Jeanmonnot - 1,258 points

- #3 Éric Perrot - 926 points
- #5 Quentin Fillon Maillet - 862 points

Dominance also in the relay and Nations Cup
Relay competitions:
France secured first place in both the women's and men's relay events at the end of the season, followed by Sweden and Norway in second and third place - two strong biathlon nations, but who were left behind by the French team performance this season.
Nations Cup:
France was also unbeatable in the **Nations Cup**, which takes into account the overall performance of all athletes from a country. The French team won both the women's and men's events - and with them valuable quota places for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Triumph also among the juniors:
France also impressed in the U23 classification: 1st place went to Océane Michelon and 2nd place to Jeanne Richard. France thus confirmed its dominance across the board - both among the active athletes and the youngsters.
